Det internasjonale sportsjournalistforbundet (AIPS) har rekord i antall innsendte bidrag til neste års kåring. Hvis du ikke rakk fristen, har du tid fram til 6. januar til å bli med på Norges versjon.
Den årslige sportskonferansen i Bergen arrangeres en måned senere (6. februar) og der vil de norske vinnerne bli kåret.

137 nasjoner har sendt inn bidrag til den globale konkurransen. Flere norske mediehus har sendt inn bidrag. Vi vil få se noe av verdens beste journalistikk om sport som er laget.

LAUSANNE, November 6, 2024 - The AIPS Sport Media Awards 2024 set a record of participation, with 2065 submissions received from 137 countries. Angola, Turkmenistan and Somalia are represented for the first time. Submissions for this edition are in 44 different languages, another record.
RISING NUMBERS In total, more than 5600 journalists have participated since their creation in 2018, with winners from the five continents in their ceremonies in Lausanne (2019), Budapest (2020), Vigevano (2021), Doha (2022), Seoul (2023) and Santa Susanna (2024). The global character of the prestigious AIPS Sport Media Awards can also be seen in the number of countries represented in seven years: 166. The record of participation was the 1880 submissions received in 2023.
FUTURE The AIPS Sport Media Awards represent a bridge to the future of sports journalism. For this edition, 175 works alone were registered in the Young Reporters categories, another record for the Under 30s that entered either in Writing, Photography and Broadcasting.
TIMELINE After the 4 November deadline, here's what happens next:
November-December: Internal validation of submissions
January: First voting stage by AIPS Panel. Longlist announcement. Certificates of participation distribution.
February: Second voting stage by EC members. Shortlist announcement.
March: Third voting stage by Jury members. Top 10 candidates announcement.
April: Fourth voting stage by Jury members. Finalists announcement. Fifth voting stage. Final ceremony .
May: World rankings + Continental rankings. Certificates of excellence distribution.
SPECIAL COMMENDATIONS Since 2022 the AIPS Sport Media Awards also highlight more than 30 additional works, aside from the winners, that deserved recognition for their contribution. Special commendations for works aligned with AIPS cornerstone values and important breakthroughs in the sport media industry will be delivered across the 9 categories during the final ceremony.
